Article 79 - Right to an effective judicial remedy

In this verse, individuals, referred to as Mr. Resident and Mrs. Resident, are provided with a designated avenue to address their concerns regarding privacy breaches committed by data controllers and processors.

The verse states that the complaint can be filed before a court in the jurisdiction where the data controller or processor operates, either directly or through a representative. Alternatively, the complaint can be brought before a court in the jurisdiction where the complainant resides.

This highlights the existence of judicial bodies within Europe that are responsible for addressing privacy-related disputes and ensuring the enforcement of privacy rights.
